Frequently asked questions
What is open interest?
Open interest is the total value of futures contracts that are still open. Rising open interest means new money and leverage are coming into the market; falling open interest means positions are being closed.
What does the funding rate show?
It is the payment between longs and shorts that keeps a perpetual contract close to the spot price. Positive funding means longs pay shorts, which usually shows bullish positioning.
What is the long/short ratio?
The share of trader accounts holding net long positions compared with net short ones. It counts accounts, not money.
