About the NFP
Nonfarm payrolls count the number of paid US workers outside farming, private households and non-profits, from a survey of employers. The monthly change is the headline "jobs added" figure. It comes out with the unemployment rate in the Employment Situation report of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, usually on the first Friday of the month.
